GENERAL DESCRIPTION: EP4202 is a two component, pour-in-place, rigid, closed-cell, polyurethane foam. This system has been successfully used in a wide variety of applications including thermal insulation, boat flotation, packaging foam, sculpture blocks, etc. Molds made from Eager Plastic silicones RTV1000 or RTV862 work great with EP4202 foam.

EP4202 Foam provides the following outstanding features:
(1) Low viscosity
(2) Convenient volumetric mix ratio
(3) Rapid set time
(4) No odor
(5) Easily carvable
(6) Excellent base for polyester/fiberglass
(7) Readily accepts paints, stains and finishes
(8) High bulk to weight ratio

Recommended mix ratio is 50 parts of A with 50 parts of B, by volume. Power mix for 20 seconds with a high-speed, high-shear mixer; then pour. Allow mixture to rise. Stand undisturbed for 20-30 minute. Pour time and cure time will vary according to ambient temperature, humidity and foam thickness.

This system expands to a foam 30 times the liquid volume! As a rule of thumb, a 2-gallon kit will fill about 8 cubic feet of space. If 2 lbs per cubic foot is not dense enough, please read about our other line of expanding rigid castable foams (3, 5 and 15 lbs / cu ft), or our flexible foams.

The resultant room temperature cured plastic foam has these properties:
Cured Density: 2.0 lbs/ cubic foot
Compressive strength: 15 psi
K-factor: 0.22
